Perched on Queen’s Road in the heart of Wimbledon, The Fire Station Café sits in a gorgeous Grade II listed building that was once home to Wimbledon Fire Station between 1904 – 1980. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a flat white or linger with friends – and yes, we love meeting your four legged friends too!

Food That Hits the Spot

Run by café manager Kristine and her team of barista wizards, the café is a firm local fav both throughout the week and on weekends. Drinks-wise, we’ve got it all: hot, cold, matchas, different milks (including vegan) and our infamous banana latte. Trust us, you haven’t lived until you’ve tried it. Whether it’s salads, sandwiches, wraps, or legendary bacon butties (a hit with the local police officers), there’s something here to fuel every craving. Breakfast, lunch, or a cheeky mid-afternoon treat, we’ve got it covered.

Step inside and you’ll spot nods to the past, from the original brick wall to a firefighter’s jacket and hat, generously gifted by Wimbledon local legend and former firefighter, Bob Stone. (Read more about Bob in The Wimble here.)

Fresh From The Rooftop Farm

We also serve produce from The Rooftop Farm Wimbledon, an urban garden on the roof of Wimbledon Quarter. Think microgreens, herbs, seasonal veggies, heritage tomatoes, chillies and even strawberries. The farm also grows gourmet oyster mushrooms from recycled coffee grounds and produces about 480 jars of local honey a year from our 40,000 honeybees, . Flavours shaped by Wimbledon’s green spaces.
