Fresh Rooftop Farm Mushrooms – Now Available at Huddle Wimbledon’s The Fire Station Café

At Huddle, we’re all about creating spaces where people, ideas and community come together. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that you can now buy locally-grown, gourmet Oyster mushrooms at Huddle Wimbledon’s eatery, The Fire Station Café.

Oyster mushrooms grown at The Rooftop Farm, Wimbledon.

These incredible mushrooms come from The Rooftop Farm Wimbledon, grown just above us on the rooftop of Wimbledon Quarter. It’s urban farming at its most innovative—and you can taste the difference.

What makes these mushrooms even more special? They’re grown using coffee grounds collected at The Fire Station Café, along with other local cafés within Wimbledon. These otherwise-wasted grounds become the foundation for a sustainable, peat-free, chemical-free growing process. Over six weeks, they’re transformed into fresh, flavour-packed Oyster mushrooms, harvested just meters away from our café doors.

Now, you can grab a punnet of these ultra-fresh mushrooms at The Fire Station Cafe’s counter. Whether you’re passionate about local food, sustainability or just love a good mushroom risotto, we invite you to stop by and try them out.

This is only the start of our partnership with The Rooftop Farm—more hyper-local produce is on the way and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Swing by The Fire Station Café, accessible via Queen’s Road, Wimbledon Quarter or Huddle Wimbledon and be part of this exciting journey from rooftop to plate.
