Hammersmith Campus Christmas Market

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on campus. On Tuesday 25th November, Huddle members are invited to the Hammersmith Campus Christmas Market for an evening of festive browsing, mulled wine and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Wrap up warm, finish work a little early (we won’t tell) and head over between 5pm and 8pm to soak up the seasonal atmosphere. It’s the ideal chance to get ahead on your Christmas shopping, catch up with fellow members and colleagues, and ease yourself into the festive season with a warming cup of mulled wine in hand.

Whether you’re a list-writing, gifts-wrapped-by-December type or someone who usually leaves it all until Christmas Eve, there’s no better time to get into the spirit. Bring a friend, bring your shopping bags and bring your best festive mood.

A few festive facts to share at the market

  • Mulled wine dates back centuries, with spiced, warmed wine enjoyed in Europe since Roman times
  • Christmas markets began in Germany and Austria in the Middle Ages
  • The tradition of the Christmas tree was popularised in Britain by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the 1840s
  • Sending Christmas cards began in Britain in 1843, when Sir Henry Cole commissioned the first commercial card

So, whether you’re after a unique gift, a festive drink or simply an excuse to celebrate the end of the working day, come along and join us.

Tickets are required so please email your community team for the booking link.

Come and enjoy the festivities!
