Cheese & Wine Day at Huddle Fulham

Join fellow Huddle Fulham members on Thursday 23rd July from 3pm for our Cheese & Wine Day – an afternoon of artisan cheese, wines and easy conversation in the heart of the workspace.

A Pairing as Old as Time

Cheese and wine have been enjoyed together for thousands of years and for good reason.

Ancient Romans were among the first to combine the two at lavish feasts, while medieval monks perfected both crafts side by side, naturally discovering that the two went hand in hand. By the Renaissance, wine and cheese had become a symbol of sophistication across European courts.

The French even have a name for it: la Sainte Trinité – the Holy Trinity of Food: wine, cheese and bread. We think they’re onto something.

And it’s not just tradition, science backs it up too. The fat in cheese coats the palate and softens the tannins in wine, making both taste better together than apart. A happy accident that’s been delighting people for millennia.
